Our Story
Hi, I'm Jubie Muchow, Owner of ADG Fishing.
For the past five years, I've been working tirelessly to provide wonderful fly fishing experiences for anglers across the world.
My late husband, David Ahn, always dreamed of revolutionizing the fly fishing industry. As a Korean immigrant during the Korean War, he had ambitions to make a mark on the world. With business endeavors spanning in real estate, landscaping, he dreamed of a way to make fly fishing easier and less tiring. So in the early 1990s, he developed an idea to integrate a solid titanium wire into fly rods to make casting easier.
For those wondering, ADG are my late husband's initials - Ahn David Golden.

He theorized that the flexible quality of titanium would allow for the rod to bend more with the equal energy exertion someone would use on a regular fly rod. In 1999, he solidified the idea that would become the world's first titanium fly rod and founded ADG Titanium Fly Rods. He delivered the worldwide product launch at the 1999 International World Expo and years later, in 2006, he would secure the first US patent of a titanium fly fishing rod.
For years after, he'd attend fly fishing conventions all across the nation, advertising his world-famous product to wide-eyed anglers. I remember he flew home and showed me his broken toe nail - a product from standing for 12 hours at a show in New Orleans. He was unbelievably committed to his trade.
He passed away in early 2016 but his love for fly fishing and legacy lives on today.
